Urban dictionary claims summertime to be: "a time when you can be whoever you want to be. most of your time is spent outside in the sun, probably in a pool or at the beach. its all about parties, hot guys, and taking chances. summertime is the best time of your life." 

Baby, this definition couldn't have said it any better. i'd say my summer is off to a good start. beginning with club soccer tryouts and spending days at the friends watching "rob & big" and "fantasy factory" on MTV. Ping pong tournaments, late night parties, water balloon fights, long walks in the moonlight and watching the sun set beneath the mountains. bike rides, morning texts, eating shakes with extra whipped cream and the jack johnson and nicki minaj radio playing on pandora. The list my friend, goes on and on but its only the beginning. There's more to come and more to look forward to and we're gonna make the best of it e'ry single day.

On top of living carefree and feeling so great, its time for me to brag. as a beach girl at heart, we made our way down to good ol' california. trying to get the tan on, walking on the beach and spending a week with the best friend, but its only just a start to the best summer yet to come.

About 3 1/2 years ago, 17 year old Whitney was diagnosed with a disease that doctors from all around the world can't care, nor do they know what it is. She is slowly withering away everyday. Although she is hurting inside and out, Whitney is always found with a smile on her face and lives through her trial each day. She is a true inspiration. Its fascinating how someone can leave you slowly day by day. Be thankful for the things you have, realize the things and people you need and always remember to wear a smile even if you're hurting inside.
